Things that have compounded positively for me recenty
Avoiding Caffeine
- Realized coffee, and caffeine in general makes me anxious, especially in the evening. Avoiding caffeine has been a positive effect so far, also let’s me have lunch in a timely manner and avoid a Food Coma
Journaling
- Not sure how just yet, but just observing and writing down my thoughts in the morning has had a positive impact on my mood and mental clarity. Seems to help get rid of tangled thoughts adn clear my mind
Avoiding & Replacing Cheap Dopamine
- Getting rid of instant gratification and cheap dopamine has probably been one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. Cheap dopamine for me includes things like sugary foods, any sort of junk food, constantly checking my phone and induldging in youtube sprees. Replacing those with hard earned dopamine through things like working out and a meal after a long day’s work has been much more rewarding. It’s like resetting my brains reward system
