Aryan Thakur

I am an undergraduate junior pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Florida.

I work on the control and capture side of optical ML experiments in UF FOCUS Lab. My work involves trying to get Binary Convolutional Neural Networks (BCNN) to work on optical systems, where the convolution happens in light instead of on a GPU. Repo Link

I also lead a student engineering team as project captain in Dream Team Engineering, working with UF Shands. The project is currently under patent review, so I will add more here once that process is further along.

Outside the lab, I like long-range bike rides. I recently completed 50 miles and am training for 100 next.

Overall, I am interested in the part of ML where the research has to be implemented.
